Update: As of December 9, Tom Pauken is no longer a candidate for office, having dropped out of the race.
On April 6, I had the opportunity to interview Texas gubernatorial candidate Tom Pauken about his jumping into the race and discuss his opponents and issues such as education, Medicaid, and corporate welfare. Currently, he is the only person to have declared his candidacy for governor. Gov. Perry and Gen. Abbott, the two expected to run, have not announced a decision, and both have stated that they will not run if the other does.
